Playdate

Well I finally gave in to a "playdate" with a lady in our neighborhood. I'm really not into all the "Mom Groups", etc.. but I met this lady LAST year and I ran into her again yesterday at the library. We exchanged numbers (again) and she said she would call me. So since I didn't want to seem like a total *itch (again), when she called this time I actually answered the phone and followed through with our plans to meet at our community playground. When they showed up, her daughter had on her bathing suit. YIKES!!!! I knew in a matter of minutes Brooke was going to be wet. So I bite my tongue and went with the flow. The kids of course had a great time!!! I guess that's all that matters!

Oh yeah, yes I did bath them both as soon as we got home!

Big Shoes To Fill

Brody's new thing, is wearing my shoes. I tried to explain to him that these are pretty big shoes to fill & he may want to think about this again. He insists he'll be alright.

My kids are growing like weeds! It seems all they are doing lately is eating, so here they are....eating, eating, eating.

Wounded Soilder

Well, as you can see we have a "wounded soilder" in the house. Now this may not be a big deal for parents who have boys, but believe me , if you have a 4 yr. old little girl, it's like the end of the world. Oh the tears, tears, tears. The crying, crying, crying. The " I can't walk", etc... etc...etc... Matt & I have already decided she can pass on the Drama classes and head straight to Hollywood. Just please make Momma some money!!

Salisbury Zoo

I decided to take the kids to the Salisbury Zoo today. It's a small zoo, so I wanted to do a test run for a "real zoo". It was actually alot of fun! Brody really seemed to enjoy it, and he keep "roaring" every time he saw a new animal. They also have a huge playground there. The best part of all, is it's FREE!!! Afterwards, we ended up eating at Red Lobster for dinner. (Brooke talked me into it). That also was surprising good. Another great day with the kids.

We're Back

Well, we are back! Yeah! Matt went out and got a new camera for me on Tuesday. Tuesday night he took the kids over to Gary & Cathy's house. Cathy wasn't there so I guess you could call it a man "playdate". They ordered pizza, had a parade, and than Brooke spent the night. It was her first official "sleepover", and she did awesome. I think Matt & I were more nervous than she was. Everything turned out great & I give the guys lots of credit for this! Thanks guys.

No Camera

I'm sorry I haven't updated in a few days. As I wrote in my last entry, my camera battery died. We also have discovered we left our charger down the beach! We have renters in the condo until the end of August, so we won't be able to get the charger until then. I begged Matt to grab me another charger at the mall today while he is at work. (that doesn't seem fair; go to the mall while your working??? I need to rethink my line of work). Hopefully he will be a wonderful husband and do this for me. We had a lot of fun over the weekend, hope everyone was safe.

4th of July

Matt & I both had to work today, but I still had a little time to do some things with the kids. In the morning I took them to the United Communities Fire Dept. parade. The parade literary last about 7 minutes. (My kind of parade). Anyone can decorate there bikes, tractors, wagons, etc.. They have about 4 Fire Trucks and then it's all the kids on their bikes. (I did have more pics. of this but my battery in my camera died when I was downloading them). Next year Brooke wants to decorate her wagon so her & Brody can throw candy to the crowd.
When we got home we played a little "hoops" in the house. Brody is actually getting pretty good!

When Brody took his nap, Brooke and I made quiche. She loves to cook. I even let her get the leftovers out of the frig. and mix them all together; she loved it.

Happy 4th of July to everyone.
